Facilities Manager – AZ

Location: Chandler, AZ

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Facilities Manager position is to oversee all building and grounds maintenance, and ensure that facilities are safe, up to code, and fully operational.  The Facilities Manager will also be responsible for managing contractors and working with third-party vendors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate and oversee site improvements and expansions (including current projects).
  • Maintain onsite and offsite facilities and adhere to safety and budget standards.
  • Facilitate the integration of new pieces of automation and technology across the plant.
  • Facilitate meetings with city officials, engineers, vendors, and other necessary people for any site improvements for Arizona Framing division.
  • Maintain project schedule, CAPEX budget, related documentation, and associated cost.
  • Coordinate with accounting all CAPEX costs are coded to the correct account on a weekly basis.
  • Planning building maintenance and operational programs.
  • Managing all vendor contracts, facilities planning and space/parking allocation.
  • Ensuring the efficiency of all building systems.
  • Preparing facility operating reports and budgets.
  • Preparing cost estimates for moves and equipment.
  • Managing maintenance of grounds.
  • Coordinating building security and maintenance services.
  • Coordinating all maintenance issues and schedules.
  • Preparing and filing reports with government and regulatory authorities including environmental permitting.
  • Forecasts, allocates, and supervises the financial and physical resources of the facility management.
  • Other tasks, as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineer, or related field, or 3+ years’ experience in facilities management.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse control systems.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Able to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems.
  • Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
